DOLOMITES
A magic that has been repeating itself for millions of years. When day gives way to evening's first shadows, it casts an enchanting spell.
Pink rock faces, like the colour of the legend.
And in that moment, in harmony between light and dark, nature's rays caress the peaks, needles, towers, bastions and ancient cliffs, kissing them like a dream, awakening emotions that warm both heart and memories.
This is what most people who have been in the presence of these gigantic rock formations say.
Compared to other mountains: brighter, more colorful, more monumental, and seeming to be architecturally inspired.
Formed 200 million years ago out of the primeval ocean, today they reach 3,300 metres into the sky.

 

CORTINA D'AMPEZZO
There is no lens but that of human eye that can catch and truly comprehend the stark grandeur of the Dolomites of Cortina d'Ampezzo, and even that fine instrument can sometimes be overwhelmed by the majesty of Cortina's compelling surroundings.
The colors of the landscape change constantly as the sun moves across the sky, the azure lakes reflect the hard-edged peacks.
Cortina is known as the "Queen of the Dolomites" since it is in the heart of the wonderful Dolomites.
The town is famous for its lively international atmosphere, it’s fashionable shops, its excellent restaurants, in winter for its incomparable skiing, in summer for its mountain climbing and hiking.

MISURINA
Misurina is a small enchanting village a short distance from the feet of the Tre Cime di Lavaredo.
Known throughout the world as the Pearl of the Dolomites, Misurina is a popular winter destination for downhill and cross country skiing while in summer it offers hiking, climbing and its lovely natural lake.
Lake Misurina is enveloped by some of the most breathtaking scenery in the world.
The Tre Cime di Lavaredo are amongst the most beautiful and recognizable mountains in the Dolomites, the Alps and the World.
In the Great War this area of the Alps echoed with gunfire.

Dolomiti programme:
09.00 departure at 11.00 arriving in Cortina about 2h free time then you go to the lake Misurina where you can have lunch, after lunch if the road is open we go to see the three peaks of Lavaredo, about 15.00, departing for Venice with a stop at Lake Auronzo.
And a stop in Pieve di Cadore, where you can see the house of Tiziano and enjoy a good local ice cream, return to Venice for the hours 18.00
Excludes: lunch, entrances to museums, the ice cream is offered.
