Wine Tasting

Doc Wine Road: Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Malbech, Refosco, Pinot Grigio, Lison, Chardonnay, Pinot Bianco, Verduzzo, Sauvignon, Riesling.

The Lison Pramaggiore DOC Wine Road through the production area has been active since 1986, and is also known as the Doges' Wine Road.

The distinctive signs with St. Mark's Lion and aatylised bunch of grapes with a vine leaf, mark the way and indicate wineries, restaurant, hosteries, and wine bars "Stop and Refreshment Station" were visitors are welcomed with delicious local  delicacies.

The Road unwinds through an interesting wine and cultural route that passes through towns, villages, and vineyards in eastern Veneto and neighbouring western Friuli.

Right from ancient times this area was crossed by two important Roman roads: via Annia (linking Aquilea and Rimini) and via Postumia (linking Aquilea and Genoa).

The river Lemene was also an important route for communications and transport during the Repubblic of Venice.

Traveling the road we come across towns such as Concordia Saggitaria (the Roman Iulia Concordia with archeological remains), Portogruaro (the little Venice of Eastern Veneto).

Through the vineyards we reach Santo Stino di Livenza, Annone Veneto and Pramaggiore.

We can visit the Benedictine abbeys of Sesto al Reghena and Summaga, the castle of Cordovado and the boroughs of Alvisopoli at Fossalta di Portogruaro.

We can breathe in the fresh sea breezes of the Adriatic wile strolling through the renowned seaside resorts of Bibione and Caorle.

The Secretariat for the Road is located at Pramaggiore in a building dedicated to the National Wine Exibition.

Estimated time by car from Venice to Lison Pramaggiore 50 minutes
